Top 10% Scholarship Program
Scholarship was created to encourage students who graduate in the Top 10% of their graduating high school class to attend a Texas Public College or University.
Initial Eligibility Requirements:
- Be a Texas resident
- Apply for financial aid via the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Undocumented students must submit a completed HB1403 packet
- FAFSA or HB 1403 Packet must be complete and processed by March 1st
- Show Financial Need
- Complete Recommended or Distinguished High School Diploma
- Rank in the Top 10% of their high school graduating class
- Graduate form an accredited high school In Texas
- Enroll Full-Time (12 credit hours per semester) at home school
- Register for Selective Service, unless exempt
- Not been convicted of a felony or crime involving a controlled substance
Renewal Eligibility Requirements:
- Complete 30 credit hours in the previous year
- Maintain a cumulative 3.25 GPA
- Complete 75% of all hours attempted
- Apply for financial aid via the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Undocumented students must submit a completed HB1403 packet
- FAFSA or HB 1403 Packet must be complete and processed by March 1st
- Show Financial Need
- Enroll Full-Time (12 credit hours per semester) at home school
- Not been convicted of a felony or crime involving a controlled substance

Award Amount:
Eligible students are awarded $2000 per academic year.
