Benchmarks and Performance Scorecard
Benchmarks and performance scorecards help advance performance management, transparency, and accountability at the Alamo Colleges.
Alamo Colleges performance management involves the selection of key performance indicator measures, establishing short- and long-term college/district performance targets, comparing actual with planned performances, and reporting progress.
The Alamo Colleges look at the institutional performance of other very large community colleges of Texas for benchmarking. Where available, state and national benchmarks are used as points of reference to help the Alamo Colleges determine performance targets.
A performance scorecard is built by systematically comparing performance targets against actual performance (KPI measure data), determining a numerical score, and color-coding scores.
In the Alamo Colleges Benchmarks report, college/district performance is compared against that of the leading institutions of the state or nation.
In the Alamo Colleges Performance Scorecard report, college/district performance is compared against our institutional performance targets.
