The Chancellor’s Office is inviting current Alamo Colleges District students to submit entries for an original, animated holiday e-card that will be emailed to hundreds of individuals as the official Alamo Colleges District holiday greeting card by midnight Sunday, November 19. The winning entry will be selected by the chancellor, the vice chancellors, and the Alamo Colleges District presidents on November 27.

The winner will be contacted on Friday, December 1, and will receive an award of $500 from the Alamo Colleges District Foundation*, to be awarded at the December Board meeting on Tuesday, December 12. Second place will receive $100*, and third place will receive $75*.

* The Foundation Scholarship Coordinator will send the awards to Financial Aid to post to each student’s account. The award will first apply to any outstanding obligations to the Alamo Colleges District. Student financial aid recipients will have funds disbursed in accordance with applicable federal regulations.

  • Somewhere in the card, all 5 colleges should be listed (Northeast Lakeview College, Northwest Vista College, Palo Alto College, St. Philip’s College, and San Antonio College)

  • Recommend use of references to students/teaching/learning

  • Somewhere in the card, the Alamo Colleges District logo and the Leader Colleges logo should be incorporated (See logo usage in the Brand Standards Guide)

  • Submit entry via email. Subject line: “Holiday E-Card.”

  • All current Alamo Colleges District students are eligible; student teams are also encouraged to enter 

  • Submission Deadline: Midnight, Sunday, November 19, 2017  (No late submissions will be accepted.)

  • Winner will be contacted via ACES email on Friday, December 1. All participants will also be notified of the winner.




A consistent image is crucial to effective name recognition. When we present a unified image to the communities we serve, each individual college’s marketing efforts reinforce those of its sister colleges and the district as a whole. To Submit an Entry
