Limb Loss Education Day

Amputee Coalition Limb Loss Education Days (LLED) are designed to bring high-quality patient education and recreation to the local level where amputees live, work, and play. The LLED series is offered free of charge to all amputees and their families.

This San Antonio event will take place on Saturday, Nov. 10 from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. in the Aquatic Center and will feature the Orthotic & Prosthetic Activities Foundation’s (OPAF) First Swim clinic. First Swim offers adaptive techniques in the water to amputees and those with physical challenges. It was designed to help this special population feel more comfortable in and around the water, and to return to a beloved activity that they may have thought had been taken away from them.
