 The San Antonio College Music program has a number of free recitals set for March in the McAllister Auditorium. The events are free and open to the public. For more information, contact the Department of Fine Arts, 210-486-0255.

Monday, March 4
2 p.m.
Brass Ensemble under the direction of Peter Kline.

Tuesday, March 5
7:30 p.m.
Jazz Ensemble under the direction of Andrew Gignac. Music of jazz greats John Coltrane, Antonio Carlos Jobim, Keith Jarrett and others will be featured.

Wednesday, March 6
1 p.m.
Percussion Ensemble under the direction of Alice Gomez.

Friday, March 8
1 p.m.
Choir concert under the direction of Cynthia Sanchez. "Feathers and Songs" will feature songs about birds, in addition a flutist and violinist on two pieces of the jazzy music. The choir program includes songs such as The Beatles’ “Blackbird” and “Turtle Dove” by Linda Spevacek.

    The Visual Arts program hosts the faculty exhibition opening reception. Full-time and adjunct studio faculty will present various professional work. The opening ceremony will be held Oct 13, from 5pm-7pm at the Visual Arts Center Gallery. The exhibition runs from opening night, Oct. 13 through Dec. 2. Read More >
