A Place to Stand , a play with music, is the compelling story of a contemporary, urban, family told in music, dance and dialogue. It explores the American journey of several characters as they deal with the limited choices available to them in the 21st century. It is a story of perseverance. It is a tale of individuals dealing with the consequences of their choices and the inadvertent damage done to others. We all search for something to believe in that is bigger than ourselves. Sometimes these beliefs lead to self-destruction and sometimes to growth and understanding. Ultimately, A Place to Stand makes the case for generating more love in our world. Don’t miss St. Philip's College Theatre’s spring production of this original play with music by faculty member Vincent Hardy. The music, with additional lyrics, is by Jake Owen and choreography is by Georgina Morgan.
