Set in a small roadside diner in New Mexico in the late 1960s, When You Comin Back, Red Ryder (by Mark Medoff) tells the story of a few locals and some tourists who intersect one Sunday morning as a sadistic Vietnam veteran holds them all hostage waiting to get his van repaired. He picks each of them apart both physically and psychologically and no one is exempt from his tirade. Fears are exploited, insecurities magnified, and relationships will never be the same after he is done. This 1974 drama by author of Children in the Hands of A Lesser God is sure to leave audience members questioning the nature of war and its effects on those who serve.
