2011 Best Tasting Salsa Scholarship Competition

All are invited to our college's signature National Hispanic Heritage Month event, the 2011 Best Tasting Salsa Scholarship Competition Oct. 5 at noon in the Heritage Room. Teams of aspiring chefs from Phoenix Middle College at Southwest Campus, Burbank, Marshall, John Jay, Clemens and McCollum high schools will have their salsa-making skills tested live by local restaurateurs as they compete for scholarships to attend the college. Students and employees sample the salsas during lunch hour as local chefs Diana Barrios Trevino and Jesse T. Perez judge at this free event.
