Providing Quality Child Care Services

If you need reliable child care services accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children while attending school, Ray Ellison Family Center is the place. We provide quality child care services with a trained and experienced staff.

About the Ray Ellison Family Center (REFC)

The Ray Ellison Family Center at Palo Alto College is licensed to provide care to 66 children daily between the ages of 21 months and 4 years old, including those children who turn 5 after September 1st. We are located on the Palo Alto College campus. Priority for enrollment is given to Palo Alto College students, but we are open to the community as space permits. Families on CCDS are welcome.

The purpose of the Ray Ellison Family Center is to provide a high quality early childhood program that supports the growth, development, and education of children and their families while creating a model of quality early childhood education and a center for training early childhood professionals within the broader San Antonio Community.

The Ray Ellison Charitable Trust Fund, through the San Antonio Area Foundation, provided a $200,000 grant for the initial construction of the center. The center opened its doors to provide care on October 3, 2001. We welcome you and your family to the Ray Ellison Family Center and look forward to a mutually satisfying teacher-parent relationship. We feel that we can work best together to create a welcoming environment for all children if we understand and share the same guidelines and expectations.
