“Words cannot express how much I appreciate your choosing me to
be a recipient of the Masters Leadership Program Scholarship. It will make a
terrific impact on my future semesters at Northeast Lakeview College. I have
been working very hard to maintain high grades while working fulltime. It is
very exciting to me that donors have considered the difficulties faced by
mature students with families and have chosen to help in that area. I am at a
loss how to word this more eloquently – thank you. I appreciate it very
much.” --- EF
“I was a recipient of the Gambrinus Scholarship at Northwest
Vista College. I could never convey in a few words the impact this scholarship
has had on my life. I am very appreciative that you gave an opportunity to a
student such as me, a medium average student in High School, to succeed if
given the chance. Sometimes it takes someone believing in an individual to
allow their inner strengths to shine like a star. You believed in me, and I
thank you. College was once a dream, but it became a flourishing reality – all
because you believed. Thank you Mr. Alvarez and the Gambrinus Company for
helping make my family and my dreams a reality.” --- PT
“I would like to share my deepest appreciation for granting me
the $4,000.00 San Antonio Livestock Exposition Scholarship. I am now able to
complete my Associate’s Degree in Agriculture at Palo Alto College, and then
transfer to Texas State University where I will obtain my Bachelor’s Degree in
Animal Science. I look forward to becoming a county extension agent and a 4H
advisor. I plan to make a difference in young people’s lives and teach them the
value and importance of the agriculture industry. Thank you for this
scholarship, and the opportunity to continue my education.”

“I am a recipient of the Jesse and Sue Oppenheimer Scholarship
this year. I would like to thank you for awarding me with this money to attend
St. Philip’s College. Being selected as an Oppenheimer Scholar in recognition
of my academic achievements was such a blessing for my family and me. I thank
you for the consideration you have for those who do not qualify for federal
student financial aid, but who are still struggling to pay for college. I
greatly appreciate you and I pray God continues to bless you and your family as
you have blessed mine.” --- EW
“I
would like to take this opportunity to thank you for the Kendra Ann Ward
Scholarship at San Antonio College, and subsequently at the University of Texas
at Austin. I hope to be the first of many recipients of this scholarship who
majored in music while at an Alamo College, then received a continuation
scholarship to complete a bachelor’s degree in music at a Texas public
university, and ultimately become a successful performer and educator of music.
I believe these were Kendra’s goals in whose memory this scholarship was
created by her loving parents. Thank you so much for making this possible. ---
