The Alamo Colleges Mobile GO Center (MGC) is an extension of the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board's campaign's efforts to achieve the student participation and success goals of the 60x30TX initiative by 2030. The Alamo Colleges have been able to contribute to this initiative with the support of the Texas Pioneer Foundation grant which provided funding for the fully equipped Mobile GO Center.
Fully operational in the Fall of 2009, the Alamo Colleges Mobile GO Center is dedicated to spreading the message about higher education, ultimately increasing the number of students enrolled and succeeding in higher education programs in Texas.
The target audience includes high school, middle school, and elementary school students, as well as parents and other community members. The MGC is available to organizations and other community agencies within Atascosa, Bandera, Comal, Guadalupe, Kendall, Kerr, and Wilson counties. The MGC may also participate in events at the Alamo Colleges: Northeast Lakeview College, Northwest Vista College, Palo Alto College, San Antonio College, St. Philip's College, and their off-site locations.
