The Priority Processing Guarantee Date ensures the review and processing of a student's financial aid application before the first day of class. To qualify as a priority applicant, the college must receive your completed FAFSA, verification, and other requested documents on or before the priority date. Because processing time for the college to receive a FAFSA from the Department of Education is 2-3 weeks, please fill out the FAFSA allowing enough time for the college to receive your application and for you to provide any other requested documents on or before the priority date.

 

FAFSA applications and verification documents received after the priority date or incomplete files will not be considered priority applications and all tuition and fees (including books) must be paid by the student until the application is reviewed and eligibility determined. Not all students who meet the priority date are guaranteed to receive a financial aid award.

 If you meet the priority date and it is determined you are eligible to receive aid, an award will be posted to your ACES Financial Aid account and tuition will be deducted 10 days before classes begin. More information can be found under Billing and Refund Checks . 

  Important: The Alamo College's Financial Aid Priority Date does not apply to Appeals for Reinstatement or Special Circumstances.
