Robert and Laura Fainter Endowed Memorial Scholarship in Art
Visual Arts Scholarship winners are recognized at the San Antonio College Annual Juried Visual Arts Student Exhibition Opening Reception every spring. Each student is presented with a certificate of achievement from the department recognizing the particular scholarship awarded.
Scholarships in the Visual Arts are awarded to students in the department that have demonstrated outstanding achievement in course work in Visual Arts classrooms and studios. Nominees are selected by Visual Arts faculty members. Awardees and finalists are selected by the department's scholarship faculty committee based on individual scholarship criteria and overall academic achievement.
Robert and Laura Fainter Endowed Memorial Scholarship in Art / Minimum Requirements:
GPA: 2.5 / Art Major / enrolled 6 hrs.
Scholarships are awarded on a merit basis. Deserving student nominees must demonstrate overall outstanding performance in the studio classroom and produce excellent artwork. Recipients need not necessarily be returning students, but continuing their education at an accredited institution.
The Robert and Laura Fainter Scholarships require recipients must be Art majors in Visual Arts in good academic standing at San Antonio College and be nominated by a member of the Visual Arts Faculty. Award amounts vary.


James C. Elmore II Memorial Scholarship in Art
The family of James C. Elmore II is dedicated to promoting the growth and economic health of San Antonio and committed to generating and sharing support in the form of scholarships for worthy students who seek to pursue a college education.  The award is in the form of a gift card for the purchase of art supplies. It will be given annually to a student who is enrolled full time in Visual Arts in good academic standing and showing artistic promise selected by the Scholarship Committee from the Visual Arts Program in the Fine Arts Department.
James C. Elmore II Memorial Scholarship in Art / Minimum Requirements:
1. Attend San Antonio College as a full-time student (minimum 12 hours)
2. Must be working toward a degree in Visual Arts
3. Must have and maintain a cumulative 3.0 GPA
4. Complete the Alamo Colleges District Common Scholarship Application
