The Assessment Center at Northeast Lakeview College continues to serve the community by providing external and correspondence test proctoring services to students that need exams administered in a secure, proctored environment.
All exams will be administered according to the prescribed regulations set by the home institution regarding use of notes, books, calculators, time limit, passwords and items necessary to proctor. The Assessment Center is located in the Student Commons Building (Building #300) in Suite 227.
Requesting an Appointment
External/Correspondence Testing appointments can only be made after the NLC Assessment Center has received your test by regular mail, fax or electronically. No advance appointments are allowed. It is the student's responsibility to make arrangements with their school/institution to use Northeast Lakeview College as a proctoring site.
To request a proctor, students may visit our External/Correspondence Proctor Request form online or notify the Testing Center via email regarding the particulars of the proctored exam. Information required includes: name of student, contact email and telephone number, college/university/institution, test due date, and whether the test format is paper-based or electronic or other. Space is available on the Proctor request form for students who have a special request or any additional questions.
Once the test materials/password is received, it is the student's responsibility to schedule their exam with our office based on the days and times posted on our website. All appointments are subject to availability. Students can confirm receipt of test materials/password via e-mail at: firstname.lastname@example.org or by telephone at 210-486-5401 option 6. A minimum of two (2) business days' notice is required prior to scheduling an appointment. Be advised that all testing is stopped five minutes before the end of the business day.
Sending Your Test
The home college/university must send all test materials/passwords directly to the NLC Assessment Center. Test packets should include instructions for the proctor and the student as well as return postage if applicable.

Photo ID is required; no exceptions.
Receipt of Test Fee Payment (Non-Refundable):
A copy of your receipt of payment is required before any test may be administered.
Test administration Fee: $20.00 per exam, due on the day of exam. To pay the NLC External/Correspondence fee online, visit the Virtual Business Office, select Alamo Colleges Market Place Mall, then Alamo Colleges Test Centers, and follow the steps for Northeast Lakeview College. Print receipt and bring to the Assessment Center as proof of payment at the time of your appointment. A cash option for the $20 proctoring fee is available at the Bursar's Office, located in the Student Commons Building (Building #300) in Room 103.
For all guests of Northeast Lakeview College, after parking on campus you will need to first visit the Bursar’s Office for a temporary parking permit. Please have your vehicle's plate number available. You will be provided with a temporary parking permit to place in your vehicle.
The student or home institution will be responsible for all postage and external handling fees. Northeast Lakeview College will not be responsible for any postage expense.
