Dr. Clark originally joined the Alamo Community Colleges in 2006 as the Executive Vice President of San Antonio College. She served in this capacity for two years before moving to the District as Vice Chancellor for Academic Success and later leaving the district to help care for her husband who was quite ill at the time. Prior to joining the executive team at SAC, she served for 25 years in a variety of higher education positions in New Mexico. Her academic training includes a doctoral degree in education leadership from the University of New Mexico as well as bachelor’s and master’s degrees in communication studies from Eastern New Mexico University. Dr. Clark returned to SAC as Interim Vice President in August 2014, and has continued on as a College Administrator.
As the Interim Vice President for Academic and Student Success, Dr. Clark oversaw day-to-day college operations and develop policies and procedures for academic and student affairs personnel. Additionally, she was responsible for monitoring professional development activities for faculty, supervising the college deans and ensuring alignment of academic and workforce programs and student success initiatives.
