The Alamo Colleges use the Baldrige Criteria for Performance Excellence as an organizational self-assessment and self-improvement framework to increase efficiency, operate effectively, and be accountable to all stakeholders. Baldrige helps us assess and improve the approach, deployment, learning (improvement), and integration of key management processes (1-6). It also helps us examine our performance and improvement in student learning outcomes; customer-focused outcomes; budgetary, financial, and market outcomes; employee-focused outcomes; process effectiveness outcomes; and leadership outcomes (7). This leads to increased value to stakeholders; organizational effectiveness, capabilities, and sustainability; and personal and organizational learning.

Baldrige Model

Baldrige Core Values and Concepts: Visionary leadership, Learning-centered education, Organizational and personal learning, Valuing employees and partnership members, Agility, Focus on the future, Managing for innovation, Managing by fact, Societal responsibility, Focus on results and creating value, Systems perspective.
