This 240-hour certification program is designed for beginners and advanced legal workers alike. Each student is trained to assist trial attorneys, interview witnesses, investigate complex fact patterns, research the law and assist in preparing courtroom litigation cases. The certification methodology is structured to allow students to familiarize themselves with practices related to those areas of law in which legal assistants are most in demand. Students will increase their office efficiency and productivity, and learn new marketable job skills. This non-credit program will award successful graduates a Certificate of Completion from St. Philip's College, Division of Workforce Development and Continuing Education.
A minimum of 10 students is required to run class.
Classes meet every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 6pm - 9pm in the Continuing Education Building.
