MIG 

Gas Metal Arc Welding I 

This course covers manipulative skills in welding techniques, applications, and theory. It covers the fundamentals of Gas Metal Arc Welding (MIG).

 

Gas Metal Arc Welding II

Students will use the gas tungsten arc welding process to produce quality fillet welds on mild carbon steel, in the vertical and overhead positions; introduction to groove welding. Gas Tungsten Arc Welding I is the prerequisites for this course.

 

SMAW

Shielded Metal Arc Welding I

This course covers the theory and introduction to the shielded metal arc welding (SMAW) processes. Skill in the welding process and the selection of materials and equipment will be stressed. 

 

Shielded Metal Arc Welding II

This course covers the theory and introduction to the shielded metal arc welding (SMAW) processes. Skill in the welding process and the selection of materials and equipment will be stressed. Advanced positioning will be taught.

TIG 

Gas Tungsten Arc Welding I

Students are trained in the basic techniques of gas tungsten arc welding, safety and health, preparation for welding, start-up equipment adjustment, and shutdown. Students will use the gas tungsten arc welding process to produce quality fillet on mild carbon steel, in the flat and horizontal positions.

Gas Tungsten Arc Welding II

 

Students will use the gas tungsten arc welding process to produce quality fillet welds on mild carbon steel, in the vertical and overhead positions; introduction to groove welding.
