Science can be challenging, but its fascinating because students can directly relate topics from Biology courses to their own lives. My Job is to help students make the connections.
I fell in love with biology during my junior year at Hendrix College during the Genetics lab. We had the opportunity to isolate our own chromosomes. That “hooked” me. After that, I became a “gene jockey” which means that I focused on molecular biology biotechnology in my research.
Attend class and maintain a “can do” attitude. Meet with me if you have any problems accessing all the materials available for you in Blackboard Vista. Study some every day and remember that repetition is the key in microbiology.
At SAC, the classes are small and the professors in the Biology Department genuinely care about the success of the students. Use our office hours. We are there to help you.
Click on the icon for the class your are attending to download an excel Spreadsheet that you can fill in to see your current grade or perhaps what you need to make on your remaining tests or on the final to make the grade you want.
