Alamo Colleges Foundation 2016/2017 Scholarship Application

The 2016-2017 scholarship application opened on JANUARY 11, 2016

 Priority Application Deadline:  APRIL 3, 2016

       CLICK HERE to apply  (Beginning January 11, 2016 @ 8:00 am)


Only one application is considered per academic year.

If you submitted a scholarship application any time in 2015, you must apply again to be considered for next Fall 2016 and Spring 2017 scholarships.

Scholarship recipient considerations begin after the Priority Application Deadline (April 3) and continue throughout the academic year.

Those selected to receive a scholarship are notified by email.


The Alamo Colleges Foundation offers eligible students an opportunity to be considered for numerous Internal Alamo Colleges Scholarships.  (View a list of possible Internal Scholarships)

 As an eligibility requirement for Alamo Colleges Foundation scholarships, you must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at  



 Type your essays in a WORD document in order to run spell check and word count. Then copy and paste the essays into the scholarship application. 

Visit the Scholarship Essay webpage or the SAC Writing Center in Gonzales Hall, Room 203 to ensure your essay is perfect!

Academic Departmental Scholarships! 

Some SAC academic departments also administer their own scholarship programs and therefore have separate applications.   

Check with the various SAC departments to learn of scholarships you may be eligible for and obtain an application. (Department scholarships link)

These are Non-Alamo Colleges scholarships which are available to students attending any college.
