Transfer Guides/2+2 Programs

Some universities use the term 'transfer guide' and some use '2+2,' but in general both terms refer to a degree plan that lists the courses you take at NLC before transferring to a four year school. You will want to use the transfer guides/2+2's to determine what courses to take at NLC as these plans list the requirements within each degree. Specifically, the term 2+2 means you take courses for two years at NLC and then transfer to finish two years at the four-year institution. However, depending on developmental coursework, how many courses you take per semester, and/or your major, you may find that it takes more time.

In addition, the Alamo Colleges lists all current Articulation Agreements with our transfer universities on their webpage here. http://www.alamo.edu/mainwide.aspx?id=24149

Transfer articulation agreements allow students to take their first and second year coursework leading to a baccalaureate degree at Northeast Lakeview College, transfer the credits earned to a participating four-year college or university, and complete the remaining upper division coursework required for the Bachelor's Degree.

Transfer guides are specific to catalog years and are updated as they become available.
