San Antonio College congratulates you in completing your goal of attaining a degree or certificate, and we're ready to celebrate with you in a big way. On this page, you'll find useful information about the graduation ceremony and the steps to get there.
Date: Saturday, May 14, 2016
Time: The ceremony begins at 10 a.m. Doors open to the public at 9 a.m.
**Students must arrive by 8. a.m.**
Location: Freeman Coliseum, 3201 E. Houston St., San Antonio, Texas 78219
Parking Instructions: One free parking pass is provided to each graduation candidate. All others, including family and friends, must pay for parking.
Cap & Gowns: Participants must fill out name cards and pick up caps and gowns in the Duran Welcome Center. Caps and gowns must be picked up the week of Monday, March 28, 2016 through Friday, April 1, 2016 between 9 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Plan on trying on the regalia before you leave the building. **Students can still pick up their cap & gown at Admissions and Records, Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
Graduation Pictures/Video: A professional photographer from Flash Photography will be present during the graduation ceremony to take color pictures of individuals as they receive their diplomas. Only the officially designated photographer will be permitted on stage during the ceremony. The photographer will notify participants regarding pictures.
Diplomas: Diploma covers are issued at the commencement ceremony containing a statement about the diplomas. Diplomas are printed after the final review of grades each term.
Degrees should be posted in ACES 30 days after graduation.
Diplomas will be mailed 60 days after graduation.
In order to receive your diploma, verify your address prior to the end of the semester you are graduating. Directions for verifying your address are listed below:
Log in to ACES
- Select the "Student" tab
- Select "Personal Information"
- Click on "Update Addresses and Phones"
- Update your existing address and phone numbers by selecting the link next to the corresponding address and phone information.
