Quality Texas Foundation awards special recognition to Palo Alto College

Palo Alto College received a special recognition award from the Quality Texas Foundation for the College's progress in implementing the Baldrige Performance Excellence Program at the Achievement Level. This is Palo Alto's second recognition from the Quality Texas Foundation, acknowledging the College’s improvements in deploying the Criteria for Performance Excellence. The award was presented on June 25 at the Quest for Excellence conference in Frisco, Texas, and was accepted by Dr. Beatriz Joseph, Vice President of College Services, and Dr. Robert Garza, Interim Vice President of Student Services.

At the same conference, Dr. Debra Morgan, Director of Strategic Initiatives & Performance Excellence for the Alamo Colleges, accepted the Partner in Excellence Award on behalf the Alamo Colleges from LynnTomaszewski, Executive Director of the Quality Texas Foundation. The Partner in Excellence Award is Quality Texas's highest organizational honor. The award is given in recognition of long-term support by an organization, and individuals of that organization, resulting in substantial progress toward fulfillment of Quality Texas programs and goals.

The Quality Texas Foundation is a non-profit organization that helps businesses, hospitals, schools, government agencies, and non-profits improve performance by educating, training, assessing, providing feedback, and recognizing organizations committed to a journey of excellence. Quality Texas encourages use of the Baldrige Criteria for Performance Excellence and other methods that drive efficiency and effectiveness.
