Parking ALERT

Parking at NVC will change this fall. The campus will lose about 300 parking spaces during the construction phase of our first parking garage. The 700-space-garage will be completed in July 2013. It will be located in Lot 6, which is adjacent to Huisache Hall and the Boardwalk,  

During this period, NVC will continue to provide FREE additional parking at an exterior lot located off of Military Drive and Ellison, which is owned by our good neighbors at SeaWorld. We will have up to four buses shuttling students to our campus for FREE from the exterior lot.  

This will be a busy period for our campus and may be somewhat congested. Please be observant of all safety signs, paying particular attention to stay out of posted construction zones.  

Tips/Info for parking this semester:   

Parking on Campus   

• If you are parking on campus, get to NVC at least 1 hour prior to your class starting.  
• If you are parking on campus between 9 am to 1 pm, go directly to the SeaWorld lot. It's difficult to find parking at this time.  
• Carpool if you can.  
• To park on campus, you need a permit. To see pricing, click here.  
• Do not leave your valuables in your car.  

Towing
  

• Parking tickets will be given and cars could be towed if they do not have tags or are parked illegally.  
• Anyone parked on any part of the road adjacent to Loop 1604 will be towed.  
• Anyone parked on the grassy roads will be towed.  
• Anyone parked blocking the flow of traffic will be towed.  

Shuttle Service (FREE)  

• The private shuttle bus service starts at 7 a.m. from the SeaWorld lot.  The shuttle service is FREE
• The last shuttle bus to return students to the SeaWorld lot will leave NVC campus at 8:45 p.m.  
• Shuttle buses run Monday – Thursday only.  
• Shuttle busses will not run during finals.  
• The wait time for a shuttle is about 10 minutes during peak times.

• We have a shuttle bus with a wheelchair lift.  This particular shuttle runs every 30 minutes. Questions, contact the Access office at nvc-access@alamo.edu or by calling 486-4466.   

Other Transportation Options   

• VIA public bus passes can be purchased at the NVC Business Office at the Cypress Campus Center.
