5K Run/Walk Honors SAC Student

The Kristine Meza Foundation will host the 2nd annual "Stop the Silence, End the Violence" 5k run/walk on Saturday, February 16, at 9 a.m. at the South Side Lions Park Pavilion 4. A percentage of the proceeds from the event will benefit Family Violence Preventions Services, Inc. and the Alamo Colleges Foundation.

The Kristine Meza Foundation was organized in response to the tragic death of Kristine Meza, a victim of domestic violence who had just been accepted into the San Antonio College nursing program. The annual 5k run/walk is held to raise awareness of domestic violence and its impact.
