Northeast Lakeview College officially opened its Transfer Center on March 6 by holding a Ribbon Cutting and Soft Opening. The facility is housed in the College’s Student Commons Building, the current location for one-stop student and financial services, and will provide a venue where four-year institutions can provide transfer services to students attending Northeast Lakeview College.
University representatives will staff the facility by appointment-based scheduling and will be housed in one location. Services will include one-on-one university advising visits, university recruitment visits, transfer scholarship information, and reverse transfer. The Center will house valuable resources for Northeast Lakeview College students planning to transfer, including transfer planning checklists, core curriculum requirements, and transfer plans/joint agreements with institutions, among others.
A part of The Northeast Lakeview College’s Transfer Center mission is to …provide a culture that supports transferring…by fostering awareness and development of our students. The Transfer Center will operate five days a week and university representatives can schedule evening or weekend hours by appointment.
