NVC Psychology Students Rock!
NVC Psychology students and faculty have recently donated close to $500 for local organizations in the community that help young women and children with much-needed supplies.
A group of psychology students recently attended a tour of the Seton Home and donated over $300 worth of supplies on behalf of Northwest Vista College. The donation included baby and toddler supplies (diapers, wipes, bibs, socks) and toiletries for the teens.
The Seton Home is a residential facility for homeless, abused, pregnant, and/or parenting teens between the ages of 12 and 22.
Students also visited the Children's Bereavement Center. It's estimated that students and faculty in various psychology classes donated over $150 in art supplies, stuffed animals, and teddy bears (the bears are given to kids after their first session).
The Children's Bereavement Center has a beautiful new facility on W. Olmos, and is a valuable resource and partner to grieving children and families in the community.
