Ethan Davenport Named Alamo Colleges District Student of the Month

Ethan Cody Davenport was recognized at the January 2017 Alamo Colleges Board of Trustees meeting as the recipient of the January 2017 La Prensa Foundation Student of the Month Scholarship. He received an award of $500 from the La Prensa Foundation founded by Millie and Tino Duran.

At NLC, he is active in the college’s two honor societies (Phi Theta Kappa and National Society for Leadership and Success). He is a volunteer DJ at all extramural home games for both basketball and volleyball and participates as a line judge at volleyball games. Active in the community, Cody volunteers every Friday and Saturday with the local organization Taking it to the Streets, feeding the homeless and providing clothes and other necessary hygiene items for those in need. He first got involved with this organization during his first visit to Texas as an exchange student.

Ethan Cody Davenport has completed almost forty credit hours at Northeast Lakeview College.  He is studying Biology and holds a 3.5 GPA. Ethan plans to complete his associate of science degree before transferring to a pharmacy program in Texas.
