What is the Quality Enhancement Plan?

The NVC Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) will teach students how to find, ethically use, synthesize and evaluate information in their classes and reinforce those skills in their co-curricular programs.

  • Find credible and relevant information through ethical and effective navigation of internet resources
  • Use critical thinking skills to discern and analyze information
  • Synthesize information by effectively gathering and integrating academic and college resource material into an ePortfolio
  • Evaluate and manage acquired Information Literacy Skills through a self-evaluation process.
 QEP Mission    QEP Objectives

The Quality Enhancement Plan is linked to Creating Opportunities for Success in the following ways:

Employee Development Day 2014

October is National Information Literacy Awareness month.  In today’s digital world, people who are information literate know how to find, access, and critically evaluate information to improve their health, their environment, their education and workplace performance.

Having that skill set empowers them to interpret and make informed decisions about their lives, in essence, taking more responsibility for their own individual welfare and that of our nation.
