Positions in the Northwest Vista College Mathematics Department

Tutors must have an overall GPA of at least 2.75 and must have taken the course which
he/she is tutoring (or higher-level course) with a grade of “B” or better. 
Tutors must have at least the following applicable points from the education
and/or experience tables: 

Education Points 

1 point -  High School Diploma or GED 
2 points - 24+ college hours 
3 points - 48+ college hours 
4 points - 72+ college hours 
5 points - 96+ college hours 
6 points - Graduate level course (post-Baccalaureate)

Tutoring Experience Points 

1 point - One year at secondary level
2 points - One semester at college level
3 points - Two semesters at college level
4 points- Three semesters at college level
5 points - Four semesters at college level
6 points - Five or more semesters at college level

Tutor Pay Level 1 = 2 -7 points,
Tutor Pay Level 2 = 8 or more points.
