HOW DO I PROVE I AM EXEMPT FROM TSI?

You may provide an official high school transcript if you took and had SAT/ACT/TAKS Exit Level test scores within 5 years recorded.
If you previously attended another college/university and were exempt, provide official transcripts showing your exemption.

IF I FAIL A PORTION OF THE TEST, DO I HAVE TO TAKE THE ENTIRE TEST AGAIN?

The TSI Assessment is not based on a pass or fail, rather it provides you placement into college level courses or developmental courses.  The developmental courses are intended to help you be successful at the college level.

You are not required to re-test. However, if you want to retake the test, you are welcome to take any portion.  It is recommended to complete some form of test prep or intervention to help improve your current scores.

IS THE TSI ASSESSMENT AN ADMISSIONS REQUIREMENT?

If you have not been determined to be "exempt", you are required to complete the TSI Assessment as an admissions requirement.

Please review our TSI page for current exemption rules
