The Marketable Skills Achievement Award is a sequence of courses that allows students to obtain high in-demand skills or improve their current skills.
Graduates of this program are prepared for entry-level employment as Web Designers and Digital Media Specialists. Employment in these and related positions are in demand across most industries.
Digital media training requires strong emphasis on the use of software, tools, and technology. This program conducts training using cutting-edge skills and technologies employers need, including: Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver and Flash.
Marketable Skills Achievement Awards are embedded into A.A.S and/or Certificate program plans. Upon completion of the series of courses, contact your Workforce faculty Program Coordinator to ensure that your award is included on your Continuing Education transcript.
IMED 1001 Introduction to Multimedia
A survey of the theories, elements, and hardware/software components of digital media. Emphasis on conceptualizing and producing effective digital media presentations.
IMED 1016 Web Page Design
Instruction in web page design and related graphic design issues including mark-up languages, web sites, and browsers.
IMED 2015 Web Design II
A study of mark-up language advanced layout techniques for creating web pages. Emphasis on identifying the target audience and producing web sites according to accessibility standards, cultural appearance, and legal issues.
