Dismissal from another College/ University (other than one of the Alamo Colleges)
I was dismissed /suspended from another College or University. My advisor told me I need to complete hours at a Community College in order to transfer back.
If you are transferring to Northwest Vista College after being dismissed from another school, you will need to meet with an Academic Advisor prior to being permitted to enroll in courses at NVC. The Academic Advisor will determine your eligibility and help you prepare a plan of action.
We highly recommend that you speak with your College/ University to make sure you understand the expectations they have for you while attending NVC.
Questions to ask your College/ University:
- How many hours to I need to successfully complete before I can re-apply?
- Are there specific courses I need to complete/ not enroll in while attending NVC?
- Will the courses I take at NVC impact by GPA once I transfer back?
- Once I have met my requirements, what is the process to transfer back/ re-apply?
