Student Story: Christian
After graduating from La Vernia High School, Christian heard horror stories of what it would be like to go to college. He heard students were treated like numbers and not as individuals.
Since coming to Northwest Vista College, Christian has experienced the exact opposite.
"The staff is so enthusiastic and they seem to really care," he said. "They answer my questions and I can tell they love their job!"
This semester, Christian is taking five courses with the future goal of becoming an electrical engineer - that's after he fulfills his dream of becoming a race car driver.
While Christian is new to NVC, he already has set a goal to get an associate degree.
"What if I transfer out and something happens and I change my mind? At least, I have that associate degree to help me out. More knowledge is more power!" Christian said. "It's (NVC) awesome, I would get a million associate degrees if I could."
