College Ambassadors

College Ambassadors!

The College Ambassadors Program Promotes Enrichment:
Northwest Vista College is committed to creating opportunities for success by offering quality academic, technical and life-long learning experiences to its diverse communities in a collaborative, student-centered, data-informed and shared leadership environment. One way Student Success helps support this mission is by enhancing student engagement through experiences that enrich the community, build future leaders, and celebrates the culture of NVC with pride.  Through the revamped College Ambassador program, students will gain the skills and empowerment needed to complete their NVC journey with heightened civic and professional awareness that will aide in the progress towards their academic and professional goals.

Students must apply to be selected to participate in the College Ambassadors program.  Students must be enrolled at least part-time (6 credit hours), have a minimum GPA of 3.0, and be in good standing with the College.  Students will be asked to commit for a period of one academic year (August-May). Additionally, students must exemplify excellent customer service and communication skills, have a willingness to serve others and the community, and have a can-do, enthusiastic attitude.

  • A $300 scholarship will be awarded to students who successfully meet volunteer requirement of 40 service hours per semester.
  • Students will receive leadership development opportunities to enhance their college experience.
  • Students will have the opportunity to showcase their NVC pride and serve as a role model for current and in-coming students.

Please contact Destiny Harper-Lane at for details.
