The Benefits of having a Wildcat Mentor:

For some individuals, higher education can be both a new adventure yet also a challenging experience due to the “unknown.” The level of support systems may vary from student to student. In most cases, students learn how to navigate their new campus by meeting other students and asking for advice. For this reason, NVC has established a mentoring program where student mentors can help you with:

  • Navigating and knowing your college
  • Finding out about important information and deadlines
  • Knowing about campus and Academic resources
  • Getting involved with your campus

How does this program work?

As mentors, we communicate with our assigned mentees mostly through email however, we are available to meet in person if you would like to.

All mentors will be monitoring our Wildcat Mentors Facebook page on a daily basis to answer any questions you may have. You may also meet and communicate with other students through this Facebook page.

Location

Student Life Center

Huisache Hall, room 109
