V2V Advocate: Michael Savana

Photo - Michael SavanaMichael Savana teaches Physical Geography as an adjunct instructor and has over 13 years teaching experience including Northwest Vista College, UT at San Antonio, the Air Force Weapons School, and the Air Command and Staff College.  Retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel, he was also the director of a laboratory conducting research in geographic information systems.  In his current fulltime occupation he works for Lockheed Martin supporting the F-16 Fighter pilot training program in San Antonio, Texas. He earned a BA in Cartography and Remote Sensing from Southwest Texas State University, an MBA from Touro College of New York, an MS in Research Management from the University of Southern California’s Veterbi School of Engineering, and a Ph.D. in electronic learning from TUI. His interests include writing, flying, backpacking, climbing, skiing, diving, and archaeology.  He has been a mentor in a youth high adventure program since 2006.
