Criteria for Becoming a Dual Credit Adjunct Faculty Member

Thank you for your interest in applying for the Dual Credit - Adjunct Faculty position at Northwest Vista College. Dual Credit faculty, are required to meet the same teaching standards as any of our faculty to be considered for hire through Alamo Colleges. Once hired, you will have the opportunity to teach dual credit courses at your high school campus as well as teach courses on our site for regular enrollment. Please proceed with the application process if you meet one of the following requirements for consideration:

• Master's degree with a major in the teaching discipline
• Master's degree in another field with 18 graduate hours in the teaching discipline
• Associate's degree or higher (Technical Programs ONLY, certificates required)

Please be aware that this process may take several weeks. As a result the Application Deadline is June 3, 2013 for the 2013-2014 Academic Year. The application will be available for submission March 2013.  Click here for the application and hiring process.  

NOTE: Please DO NOT submit an application for hire if you/your:

• Have not completed the necessary graduate work
• High School Dean of Dual Credit has not recommended you for teaching dual credit courses
• Will not be teaching dual credit courses at your high school in the next two semesters
• Are ONLY seeking employment as a non-dual credit adjunct faculty member at one of the Alamo Colleges
