What is the Chemistry program?

Chemistry is the science that deals with the composition, structure, and properties  of substances  and with the transformations they undergo. This program, part of the  Natural Sciences Department, is for those who major in  chemistry in addition to students who are part of the Allied Health programs, pre-professional majors, and non-science majors.

What will I learn?

The composition, structure, and properties of matter and the changes it undergoes.  Students can experience direct contact with substances that compose our world—elements, compounds, and mixtures—examining and analyzing them both manually and instrumentally.

What can I do with this course of study?

Students may choose to pursue   careers as nurses,  doctors, dentists, pharmacists, veterinarians, morticians, photographers, firefighters, chemists, biologists, geologists, and physicists.

What's special about program?

Core classes transfer to most four-year universities.
