Cyber Defenders is a week-long camp involving many hands-on computer related activities including: PC repair, computer networks, virtual machine computers, and computer security. The emphasis is on defending computers against hacking and will end with a mock competition on the last day of camp.
The instructor will be Mike Matuszek, the coach of the National Champion Team of CyberPatriot IV, security competition. This is a great opportunity for teens to get hands-on computer and cyber security skills. A Texas Workforce Commission grant is providing Governor’s Summer Merit Program scholarships for participants.
Participants must be age 14 or older and a student in a Texas middle or high school. Age and student verification is required.
