Earth Day Festival


San Antonio College Office of Student Life will mark Earth Day 2013 with a festival in the Loftin Mall Area. Prizes will be availalble on the hour.

Monday, April 22, 2013
10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Participants include:

·      Generations FCU –  Will bring  their huge mobile shredding truck to shred  documents for free. Bring any documents you want securely disposed.

·      Advanced Technology Recycling –  Be part of the "1 million Pound Challenge," a movement to recycle 1 million pounds of electronics in one week!  Bring your old computers, printers, monitors, keyboards, TV’s, VCR's, cell phones, etc. 
No microwaves, toasters, toaster ovens, household batteries or fluorescent lighting). 

·     Fairy Godmother Project – will collect gently used formal wear (cocktail/evening dresses)  to donate to girls who need a prom dress.

    The Visual Arts program hosts the faculty exhibition opening reception. Full-time and adjunct studio faculty will present various professional work. The opening ceremony will be held Oct 13, from 5pm-7pm at the Visual Arts Center Gallery. The exhibition runs from opening night, Oct. 13 through Dec. 2. Read More >
