STEPS TO ENROLLMENT
First Time in College (FTIC)
ADMISSION
Complete and submit your admission application: www.applytexas.org.
After four (4) business days, login to your Alamo Colleges Education Services (ACES) account (aces.alamo.edu) to view the “Start Here” Tab for next steps and your required MyMAP modules.
TRANSCRIPTS
Submit official high school transcripts/GED scores with graduation date either by mail (Admissions & Records, 1300 San Pedro Ave., 78212) or in a sealed envelope (Fletcher Administration Center, Room 216); or submit electronically by school.
VACCINATION
Texas state law requires that entering students show evidence of receiving a bacterial meningitis vaccination or booster dose during the five-year period prior to enrollment. The law allows for few exceptions. You may obtain additional information at www.alamo.edu/meningitis
MyMAP
Complete all the modules in MyMAP (access through “Start Here” tab in ACES) and be sure to submit SAT, ACT or TAKS scores for evaluation.
TEST
If required take the ACCUPLACER (information available at alamo.edu/sac/testing-center/)
MyMAP modules must be completed before testing.
ADVISING
Please complete the New Student Online Advising Module listed here Online Advising for First Time in College Students PDF. On the final page of the Module, students must complete and submit the quiz provided, in order to receive credit for completing the Advising Module. Please include your name and banner ID. Students must then wait 12 hours to continue to the following step, which is to see an Advisor in the SAC Counseling and Advising Department, located in the Moody Learning Center 1st floor.
REGISTRATION
All registration is online, beginning with Student Development for all new students.
PAYMENT
Tuition payment must be made via credit card or check online via your ACES account. Payment in full or by installments must be made by the payment deadlines or you will be dropped from your classes.
