| What is the Foreign Languages program? |
The Department of Foreign Languages offers classes in a diverse range of world languages: Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Latin, and Spanish. Our faculty possess extensive experience teaching languages with specialized degrees in their discipline from prestigious universities.
The courses in the department of Foreign Languages are taught with an emphasis on the four skills: speaking, reading, writing and listening, as well as an overall encompassing presentation of culture within the Hispanic world.
| What can I do with this course of study? |
Students that have graduated from SAC with a focus in languages are able to transfer into four-year universities having completed their foreign language requirements. Language studies have assisted students in a variety of careers such as the medical field, business and criminal justice to name a few.
| What's special about program? |
Our department was recently granted a Confucius Classroom from the Chinese Government which will contain state-of-the-art technology to promote the Chinese language and culture to the San Antonio College students and community.
