Architecture students win award at Canstruction

SAC students part of 2013 Canstruction

 

The San Antonio College Chapter of the American Institute of Architecture Students won an award for best use of labels in “Face of Change” in the eighth Annual San Antonio Canstruction. 
 

The students (from left) Angela Velasquez, Henry Urbino (treasurer of AIAS), Alexis Rocha Garcia (Secretary of AIAS), Michael  Chang (President of AIAS), John Cox, Matt Laria, Dero Hernandez and Tiffany Smith. 
 

Canstruction is part of an international happening held in 215 cities.  The No. 1 rule is to construct something cute or clever out of canned goods to call attention to hunger.   All food stuffs used in Canstruction is eventually donated to the San Antonio Food Bank.

 The projects are on view through Sept. 21  in North Star Mall.

Choose your favorite Canstruction!  Voting concludes Thursday, September 19.  The winner will be announced  Friday, Sept. 20.
