Beta Nu Chapter of SAC honor society recognized in Fort Worth

PTK Takes awards at conference

 PTK rakes in awards at regional conference; named 'Top Texas Chapter'

Members of SAC’s Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) Beta Nu Chapter recently attended the PTK Regional Conference in Fort Worth.  from  The attendees included:   officers,  chapter members and  chaperones, including Mary Mena (chapter advisor) and Jacob Martinez (Office of Student Life.)

At the conference held March 7-10, the San Antonio College Beta Nu Chapter received its second annual Five Star Status and was recognized as a “Top Texas Chapter.” 

Chapter President  Kim Lorine and Matthew Brunicardi received certificates for exemplary leadership. Maritza Alvarez was awarded the Distinguished Officer Medal of Recognition, and the Chapter won in the “Honors In Action Projects” category for the their project about SAC’s PTK Food Pantry.

PTK is the honor society for two-year colleges and is one of the oldest continuing student organizations/clubs at SAC.
