Smart Start…

All students at the Alamo Colleges are now required to attend at least one class session during the first week of classes. Students who do not attend class at least once will be dropped.

Smart Start

Smart Start:  The first week  counts

Class participation and attendance throughout the term are important to successfully completing the course.  You assume responsibility for contributing to your success in classes by actively engaging starting with the first class session.  You are expected to be in class during the first week of classes.  If you know you cannot attend or, for whatever reason, cannot get to the class, you must contact your instructor.

The instructor will drop you if you do not attend or make contact.  Official policy, click here
If you are in an online class, you are expected to make contact with the instructor within the first three days of the class term.  If you are enrolled in a hybrid/blended class, you are expected to attend or contact the instructor.  If these expectations cannot be met, you will be dropped.

Go to the My Courses tab in ACES to contact your instructor.
