BEFORE SELECTING AN ORIENTATION DATE, PLEASE READ THE INFORMATION BELOW CAREFULLY.

New Student Orientation (NSO) is mandatory for all First Time in College students (which includes students transferring to SAC with fewer than 15 semester credit hours). NSO will include sessions covering campus resources, campus technology, personal and property safety, student engagement, and a campus tour. Your session will conclude with a small-size Group Advising session, an individualized advising plan for your first semester, and registration for your first-semester classes. Did we mention that we feed you lunch, too? We do!

The following enrollment steps must be COMPLETED and PROCESSED before you attend NSO:

Completing the required First Time in College enrollment steps will result in a successful and productive orientation.  If the seven steps below have not been completed and processed, you will be required to do so before you are allowed to attend your scheduled New Student Orientation session.

1.  Complete the Apply Texas Application.
2.  Submit official transcripts.
3.  Provide proof of Bacterial Meningitis vaccination (required if you are under 22). Go to http://www.alamo.edu/meningitis/ for details. Processing may take up to TEN days.
4.  Complete the Alamo Enroll Go FAARR modules in ACES.
5.  Complete the Testing Requirement (TSI), if applicable.
6.  Required post-TSI Assessment check-in (located in FAC 105).
7.  Complete any required INRW or Math refreshers, if applicable.

Students are required to stay for the entire duration of the NSO they choose.  Space is limited for each session, so you must RSVP at least one week prior to ensure your spot.  For any requests for students requiring special accommodations, please contact or disAbility Support Services office at 210-486-0020.

All NSO sessions will begin in the Loftin Student Center Fiesta Room (1st floor). Visitor parking on campus is limited, so we suggest you arrive early. Visitors may park in an lot designated for student use.  Parking is also available on streets near campus.  A campus map is available by clicking here.

NOTE: YOU ARE REQUESTING TO ATTEND AN NSO SESSION.  REQUESTS ARE REVIEWED WITHIN 3-4 BUSINESS DAYS OF BEING SUBMITTED. IF YOUR REQUEST IS DENIED, WE WILL EMAIL YOU WITH INFORMATION.
