Staff Council
Our purpose is to be a representative of classified and professional staff at San Antonio College. The San Antonio College Staff Council consists of 15 classified and professional staff elected to serve for a two-year term. The SAC Staff Council also works in cooperation with Staff Councils from the district colleges and district offices of the Alamo Community College District as representatives of the Unified Staff Council.
The San Antonio College Staff Council participates in various programs and activities throughout the year that support and recognize staff for their contributions to the college such as the Staff Leadership Certification Program and Employee Development Day. The Council awards scholarships to deserving staff. Staff members are also recognized for their excellence through the Employee of the Month program. The Council also addresses district and college wide policy matters that affect all staff at the Alamo Community College District. All staff and faculty are welcome to attend meetings which take place the first and third Tuesday of each month. Please join us at our next meeting if you are interested in serious policy matters, would like to participate in Staff Council activities, or to celebrate the successes of San Antonio College staff!
