Join St. Philip's College for the Martin Luther King Jr. National Day of Service March from the MLK Academy at 3500 MLK Drive to Pittman-Sullivan Park at 1101 Iowa St.

San Antonio MLK Jr. Commission

This year's theme: "King's legacy for peace is justice for all. Remember! Celebrate! Act!".

The MLK Commission is a volunteer organization. On January 19, 1987, chaired by Aaronetta Pierce, the Commission and the City of San Antonio held its first official Martin Luther King, Jr. March.

Event Parking/Bus Service

VIA is offering round-trip bus service for the MLK March. Ride VIA from St. Philip’s College. Call (210) 362-2020 or visit or for details. The parking lots are the only facilities at St. Philip’s College that are in operation in observance of the King holiday on Jan. 16.
