SPC Income Tax Site Recognized by the IRS

ST. PHILIP’S COLLEGE INCOME TAX SITE RECOGNIZED BY IRS FOR TWO DECADES OF INNOVATIVE SERVICE AND STUDENTS PROCESSING A CITY-BEST $6.7 MILLION IN REFUNDS FOR CLIENTS IN 2013 SAN ANTONIO (May 23, 2013)–––The St. Philip’s College Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program and the students who run the program are the recipients of honors in May from the Internal Revenue Service and the City of San Antonio for innovation and quality performance. Seven St. Philip’s College Student Engagement Grant students and five non-student volunteers were honored by the city on May 7 for processing a city-best $6.7 million in refunds for clients through the college’s volunteer federal income tax assistance site for the 2012 Tax Filing Season (year 2013).
